Apparently there is a new rule in Reality TV that if you’re going to have a show with an ensemble cast, you must, MUST also have a reunion show. Now, I understand the thought process behind this. Historically, reunion shows are where the real drama/fighting goes down, but sometimes not enough happens during a season to warrant rehashing it. The way I see it, this show was about Claudia Jordan trying to put together a fake talk show, Claudia Jordan not getting along with Jennifer Williams, and Tiffany “New York” Pollard acting crazy. As much as I love Laura Govan, if she wasn’t on the show it wouldn’t have been much different in my opinion.
Apparently, TV One wanted to prolong this train wreck, so the only thing we can do it talk about it.
As usual, we start this episode off with a fight and a countdown. This week it’s New York versus Laura, and I didn’t even know they had beef, so I was a little interested in what this was about. I don’t even have a guess, because New York was basically speaking in tongues.
Not A Single Fuck To Give
After a mash up of some of the main “storylines” of this season, the reunion begins. The couches seemed to be separated by people who don’t really fuck with Claudia and Claudia and Karamo plus Benzino, and Carlos King was the “mediator.”
I am so throughly exhausted by the fashions on this show, that I’m only going to bring them up later when they pertain to the arguments.
The original premise of this reunion was to see if the Reality Stars used this platform to “repeat them selves or reinvent themselves.”
Before we even begin to tackle that, somehow we get into a discussion about Benzino’s nudes.
Next.
It’s interesting to me that New York gets so much airtime on this show, because in my opinion the main drama was between Claudia and Jennifer. New York was just sort of around, popping in and out of scenes making a fuss.
Anyways she’s who we’re leading this reunion with.
Okay. I just have so many thoughts on some things that are so insignificant, but they just made me laugh/take pause.
Carlos introduces his next topic as the most asked question they got all season. He decides to read a tweet that encapsulates this question. Now, I watch a lot of reality television, and I have seen a lot of reunion shows. Normally, in my experience, a lot of people all ask the same questions, so it seems like whoever is in charge of choosing the questions that make it to air, tends to choose questions asked by people with easy to read online handles.
Not today.
“The most asked question that we have gotten this whole season is this: @CLF_423 tweeted…”
We can get to what the actual question is in a second, but if so many people were asking some variety of this question, you couldn’t find one with an easier to read Twitter handle. This is just something small that I noticed that seemed to be a constant throughout the show.
Anyways, the question was what did New York mean when she said the reason she didn’t have tears at Claudia’s parking lot party was because it was an inner cry. New York said that sometimes your inside emotions don’t transpire quickly enough on the outside, which I completely understood.
Then Claudia tries to correct New York on how to say fathom and tear ducts for about 67 minutes. Way to not seem condescending Claudia.
Then we get into a discussion about how Karamo thought working with New York would tarnish his image and his brand, which LOL, because I had never heard of Karamo before this show, so I’m not sure what there was to tarnish.
Then we get another social media question from @that_guy_tre “I want @ClaudiaJordan to calm with the name calling. From bipolar to schizophrenia, name calling can lead to something bad.”
Claudia, like sort of apologized for calling New York bipolar, but then called her bipolar again within 7 seconds of said apology.

Next, it’s time to talk about Jennifer.
One of the main storylines surrounding Jennifer this season was her finding her voice. Carlos asks Jennifer why she thinks people always thought she was up Evelyn’s ass on Basketball Wives, similar to Karamo being up Claudia’s ass on this show. Jennifer says that she and Evelyn were baptized together, Evelyn was in her wedding and there was no way she was going to fight with her (until that blog post came out).
Carlos asks Claudia if she thinks she was Jennifer’s guinea pig to be able to show people that she can stand up for herself. Of course, Claudia says yes.
“There was no reason for us to fight.” -Claudia Jordan on Jennifer Williams
Claudia brings up how after the focus group, she Jennifer and Laura all went out together to a Halloween party and had a fun time. It’s easy to be nice to someone when you haven’t seen what they have to say about you when you’re not around, like in interviews. Jennifer said when she started to see what Claudia had to say about her in those exact situations, that’s when she was like, you know what I’m not fucking with this girl anymore.
Claudia said that going into this show, Jennifer’s reputation was that she didn’t have a voice. Claudia claims she didn’t say anything about Jennifer character (except for the times she tried to shade her for allegedly having sex without a condom), and Claudia FINALLY admits to something she was petty about, Jennifer’s colored contacts.
Same.
Then we get into Jennifer’s singing career. By her own admission, Jennifer is not Adele. Carlos asks Benzino if Jennifer can sing, and in his roundabout way, he basically says no.
Whether she can sing or not, Jennifer did make a point that no one else sitting on that stage, besides Benzino, can say they’ve recorded a song and performed it live.
In an interstitial Carlos offers Jennifer some tea and honey and tries to get her to sing. No success.
Then, sadly we find out that Jennifer’s mother passed away from cancer.
We find out that Benzino also lost is mother, and he and Jennifer have become close bonding over their losses.
Jennifer recently got a tattoo on her foot that reads, “Mom, may you forever guide my steps.”
Now y’all not about to get me feeling emotions talking about this ratchet mess of a show, so let’s move on.
While Jennifer is off scene collecting herself, we move on to my favorite person on this show, Laura Govan who is lounging comfortably.
Same, tbh.
Laura basically let everybody know that she’s gonna say and do what she wants, and if you have a problem with it, well she really don’t give a fuck.
Then Carlos brings up a comment Laura made early on in the show that she wishes there was more light skinned people on the cast. When she originally made that comment, I didn’t think much of it except that most of the cast was light skinned, so I didn’t really see where she was coming from.
Then I thought we were transported onto the set of The Real Housewives of Potomac, because the conversation of race and “being black enough” began. New York said Laura isn’t black, even though her dad is black.
Something I didn’t even notice until my second viewing of this episode, is that during this discussion Benzino whipped out one of those little fans you buy at Disney World to cool himself down with.
Then, for once, Claudia makes an informed and intelligent comment. Claudia said that the comment Laura made didn’t offend her, but she could see where other people would be offended, and she can understand the pain behind it.
Then New York announces she’s running for President in 2020. Do with that what you will.
Then, because it isn’t a reunion show if someone doesn’t walk off, New York walks off calling Laura a racist.
Deuces, y’all
New York yells in the green room. Then New York is outside trying to smoke a cigarette, and AKT!ON is trying to calm her down to no avail.
Karamo is low key messy. End of story.
At this point, Benzino is beginning to lose layers of clothes, and is dabbing himself with a paper towel.
Okay, so now we get into the meat of this episode. Jennifer and Claudia start to really go at it threatening to drag each other each and every which way.
Claudia tries to shade Jennifer’s talk show on Black Hollywood Live by saying, “you’re on YouTube, bitch!”
…okay, and Claudia where is your talkshow, The Comment, airing? NBC? ABC? FOX? Claudia claims to be “Network Television,” but I’m EXTREMELY unclear which network she’s talking about. If she talking about TV One? Because both of y’all on on that network, so…
I don’t know what the lead up was to this comment, but Claudia claims that her rent is $4,000.
Sure, okay.
New York explodes on Laura again about the race comment, and Laura gives an, “I’m sorry, but,” type of apology.
Then my girl Jennifer brings up the fact that Claudia made a comment about darker skinned people that she couldn’t see them in a party, because it was too dark, she could only see teeth.
Claudia’s defense is that she was at an all black party, and she made a joke as a black woman, and there was no shade to black people, because she is black.
Claudia claims Jennifer is trying to vilify her (even though she’s doing a good enough job of it on her own), and then instead of taking the high road, Claudia decided to bring up some of the information she’s found out about Jennifer on Google.
Apparently Claudia was living in some type of cave back in 2010 when this story originally leaked, but she brought up Jennifer’s naked pictures that hit the internet back after season 1 of Basketball Wives.
I’m not positive what the exact saying it, but isn’t there a saying about if you have to deny something so much, there must be some truth in it? Claudia spends so much time talking about not being a hoe, that at this point she’s talking about the rumors more than anyone else.
Then Claudia tries to take shots at Jennifer’s boobs (because, maturity), and claims that hers are “real and perky.”
They may be real, but perky they ain’t.
Claudia continues to deflect away from the comment she made about black people moving on to tell Jennifer that she needs a manicure based on a picture taken over 5 years ago.
This girl is so petty and ridiculous.
Next week is the second (and hopefully last) part of the finale.
