Hey Y’all, what the hell happened on this vacation? Everyone came at odds and left kind of friends… This is so weird, it’s like Lydia’s calm demeanor and level-headed wisdom is actually rubbing off. This is totally unprecedented and I don’t know if I like it or if it just makes me angry because she’s neutralizing the perfectly good drama that is 90% of the reason I watch this show. What do you guys think? Parts of this episode were like watching a nature show about animals I know nothing about – rich, plastic ladies who get along. Behold… the power… of TEETH. The episode picks up in the evening just after the afternoon showdown between Vicki, Lauri and Gretchen on the slopes. All the ladies are pre-gaming for dinner in more ways than one. Tamra comes to visit Vicki for a pre-dinner bottle of wine each. Okay, they were splits, but it’s still funny. Vicki’s wearing a black dress with fur cuffs that Tamra dubs costume-y. Vicki objects harshly, claiming the fur cuffs are faux and that they come off, leaving a beautiful, simple black dress. I’ll give Vicki that it’s not costume-y, but the rest of us stopped wearing interactive clothes in the eighties, or when we were children. Nothing reversible or removable for grownups, please. They sit down on the couch and discuss the afternoon and Vicki’s pissed she lost her temper. Tamra interviews that if someone were going around telling everyone that she was in a threesome, she’d “slice the bitch.” Careful Tamra, your Tammy Sue, two shotgun wedding past is coming through. The women resolve to be calm, cool and collected at dinner, but we all know that’s a load of horseshit. In Lydia’s room, Alexis stops by for a pre-dinner martini, which Lydia has already ordered and put in the fridge. I don’t know why that struck me as funny/cute, but it did. Maybe it’s because I dream of a fridge whose function is only to keep cool pre-made martinis. Someone Pinterest that shit! Alexis is happier than a bunny that just went through puberty considering she’s not the center of the dramaverse for once. And she looks… really pretty? Gotta say, that black tunic, rose gold necklace and short bob make her look so much more mature than she acts when she pops in and asks if Lydia’s room is a drama-free zone. The two sit down and chat about how fractured everything is, and Alexis jokes that they just need to start sharing from the Bible. Ugh, shut UP with the Bible, Alexis! These ladies tolerate you, but they will not tolerate your watered down version of Christianity. Besides, if they were able to even moderately compute the meaning of the Golden Rule, they wouldn’t be on this show. Lydia just sighs and says that they need to focus on some goodness for once, and I have a very hard time wondering what goodness she is talking about. “Well, Tamra’s got pretty hair, Gretchen’s [...]
