Hi Trashies So last episode the eliminated cooks got to return, or rather three of them did. Bri managed to see off Bime and Lin to get back in the competition, much to Juggernauts dismay. Having said that, it seems like Juggy disliked Bime even more than Bri, so she wasn’t going to be happy either way. So the Masterchef symbol appears and we’re off to a flying start. There’s a promise of a big hitter leaving, but then again there’s only seven left so they’re all fairly big names now. It’s the Mystery box! Juggy promises she’s going to up her game. I’m not sure if she means she’s going to cook better or start physically assaulting the other contestants. In the box is a T-Bone steak, and nothing else. Luca doesn’t seem to believe this. So T-Bone steak, we meet again, but this time the advantage is mine!DJC announces that he can cook steak as he eats it so often. There is a logic to this, but after his crappy treatment of Bime last week I’m in no mood to tolerate his smug little face. Now Bastage starts selling us the Walmart line, and we’re used to this now. I don’t like it much, but I suppose its part of modern tv making. But then they up the stakes to a whole new level of pushing Walmart. You see, the pantry is empty! TG Gordy and Bastage completely forgot to buy anything except the steaks – oh noes! But never fear, a truck from Walmart full of ingredients is speeding its way to the Masterchef kitchen to save the day. I mean really? Why inflict this contrived crap on us. If only I could think of where to buy my groceries from. It doesn’t exactly win points for subtlety or style. Back in the challenge, the mini’s have 45 minutes to sort out their larder and cook.
