Te amo, mi amigo. Howdy, Trashmii! I’m still recovering from The One. That was a marathon of boxing! Too bad Canelo couldn’t quite pull off defeating Floyd. Oh well, there’ll be other fights for Canelo, and he’s sure to win those. After all, until last night, he was undefeated. Classy guy, too. Rather unlike his opponent. Guess who else was in a bit of a scrape this week? Besides Dina Lohan, I mean. Our very own Browns, who took part in what was purported to be a panel discussion about polygamy, but which degenerated into name-calling and sniping. Oh, the name of the episode? The appropriately boxing-themed “Sister Wives on the Ropes”! Boxing: the fabric of my life. Apart from the Brown adults, the panel consisted of Kollene (we met her last year, she was from the Kingston group), Willie, who is ex-FLDS, and Christine’s aunt, Kristyn, who’s a vehement anti-polygamist. The group was rounded out by a woman, Christine, who had never actually lived polygamy (she claims she was duped into believing she was by a group of people scamming her). I first saw her on an Investigation Discovery series about gullible women. And boy, did this one take the prize for most pronounced suspension of disbelief. The discussion was put on by the UNLV Department of Anthropology, which has a professor who has made his life’s work studying polygamists like they’re some sort of long-lost aboriginal tribe. Mind you, the actual “discussion” took all of 10 minutes out of an hour’s show, the rest was occupied with the pregame activities of the two camps. This mostly seemed to be people talking about how nervous they were, and how their view was the correct one. I hate to say it, but Kody actually made a good point in the discussion. What the hell is wrong with me? I liked something he said last week too! Do you think – can it possibly be – has all my snarking actually been masking a deep attraction to him?
