Welcome back readers to RHONJ! My apologies that I did not cover the Bravoholics edition last Sunday but its airing coincided with my putting the kids to bedtime and as a working mom, I try not to miss the little moments I get with them. And of course, those assholes at Bravo only aired that shit once and did not put the video up online or on demand. I really did want to cover it because I wanted to touch on something yellowlabowner brought up in the comments and frankly, we need to talk about Jacqueline. So since this is sort of an abbreviated show I am going to start of this episode by talking about it here.

Yellow mentioned how boring this show is and in past seasons I would agree, especially last season. Had I not been housebound and fused the couch with a newborn in desperate need of human interaction I would not have watched at all. One of the symptoms I think this franchise has always suffered from is that it hasn’t been able change up its cast as easily and the storylines have always focused on family good or bad. For me the later has always made me uncomfortable because this is a lot like my family they fight over dumb things and their favorite venue of choice to hash out really important issues is Facebook. I have often said in the past that I didn’t watch Jersey because if I wanted to witness a bunch of entitled morons with terrible grammar argue I would friend my entire extended family on Facebook (not you Gen, you’re cool). But I have faith in these new additions,  they are strong women who have real carved out lives and it’s not just about them getting a new man, being stuck in a terrible relationship or selling weigh loss supplements. They are at very real crossroads in life and they have an honest to goodness connection to the women already established in the franchise. To me this always is a make it or break it factor in adding cast members because most of the Housewives are terrible actors, except you RHOBH you at least have some accredited actors. It may be a slow burn to get there but I haven’t been this excited about some crazy since Danielle Staub because I have a feeling Teresa is no match for how loud Siggy can get and patience for “tenderhearted” Jacqueline will be tested.

While I believe that Delores is mostly going to focus on building her business and remodeling her house, which I feel are decent B storylines I think the biggest role she is going to play is peacemaker. Jacqueline is already on a full on rampage mode to sell that Teresa hasn’t changed and is the same old snake oil salesmen she has always been. She and her family are clearly gunning for Teresa following that old Nene adverb that if you want to be the one on top take down the queen bee. Between the last episode and this episode, she has blogged three times sure 60% of it’s about dirt water and tiny popcorn but a lot of it is about Teresa. Specifically what a terrible person Teresa is, how she lies, how she isn’t a true friend, how she sells stories but then doesn’t want to talk about them to people she calls her true friends…. Blah blah blah. This is why I don’t care for Jac; she pretends to be me this meek, weepy-eyed lady who only wants peace on earth. And her family perpetuates this by saying BS like Jac is so soft-hearted she only want the best for her friends, but she does very underhanded things like pretend she wants to know what’s really going on under the guise of being a friend but really she wants to do is make this part of her storyline. She not only justifies everything she said in her fight with Teresa as TRUTH but she says:

“Good for her for making some extra money. I didn’t care about that. I only cared when she was throwing the rest of us under the bus in those articles and in her books while she was doing it.

I did, however, care to know if the stories in the tabloids were true or not about my friend. I worry about my friends because I care about them. I never knew which stories were the ones Teresa put out or even which ones were true or not, because Teresa wouldn’t talk about it. How would she expect me to know what’s real or not, or expect me not to worry about my friend and not wonder why my friend would open up to the tabloids, but not to me? You all know that if you saw a crazy tabloid heading about your friend, you would ask them about it. It’s common sense and human nature. Let’s be real!”

OOOOH really! The clip they keep showing is labeled as 2011, but it is actually part of season 4 that aired in 2012. I had read that part of the problem of filming season 4 was they were doing so while season 3 was airing and therefore a lot of issues bled together. In the now infamous fight on the deck, Jac initially blamed her stress on issues with Ashley BUT eventually she worked her tears into concern over an article in a rag that said Teresa might go to jail because she withheld funds from her Skinny Italian cookbook. The clips of the conversations they keep showing are misleading because it does look like Teresa is hulking out but actually Jac instigated a fight with her. Right before Teresa went over for the big fight, Teresa said in a talking head that Jac is great friend because she has my back on this bankruptcy rumor thing. When Tre eventually shows up Jac has already worked herself into frenzy, crying and carrying on. The thing is she wasn’t even upset really, about the article she was upset that she wants Teresa to confide in her, telling her what is going, and what wasn’t. Jac thinks that if they are truly best friends then she should tell her everything and that Tre’s bankruptcy is her business because Teresa is her friend. She doesn’t feel she can properly defend Teresa’s actions because she knows Tre sells stories about her family to make money. In this scene, you can tell that Teresa can’t believe what she just said, I guess back then in 2011 it was probably a lesser known avenue to make a living, but now in 2016, a Kardashian centric rag world, it is so common place it doesn’t even phase anyone anymore. Tre points out that she shouldn’t care where she gets her money from because she doesn’t ask her how she makes her money. In the moment when its looks like she is on the losing end of the conversation about bankruptcy. Jac changes direction and she turns it into a fight about loyalty because Teresa was tweeting with Danielle Staub. By bringing in the fact that Teresa isn’t loyal because she tweeted Danielle and she knows that problems that Jac’s daughter was having with her at the time. But the tweets were actually about Melissa. So she starts in about Melissa and how Tre shouldn’t be going after her for talking to Danielle about her AND she get her so worked up and THAT’S when Tre starts losing it and we see her scream about jealousy. Does this fight sound familiar? Like on you watched on Sunday night. Come inside, the show’s about to start!

Tre and Milania are working out before bed when Melissa calls inviting them fashion week to watch the kids walk a fashion show.

RHONJ5_8This is what family all about!

Teresa is incredibly thankful for the support Melissa and Joe gave the girls while she was “spaing” upstate all last year and she wants to reciprocate by supporting them!

Poor Delores her dog Boo is sick with kidney failure. I feel the pain my little guy in the avatar is turning nine this weekend and I well up just thinking about him getting old. Delores’ daughter Gabby tells her that the most important thing is to keep Boo comfortable and on his diet. Delores admits that she knows what’s coming and as a responsible dog owner, she knows that when it comes time she will have to make “the call”. The former Mr. New Jersey says “mommy” is such a Debby downer, she thinks everyone is about to die, LOL. Delores starts to talk about all the work she wants done on her house and Mr. New Jersey turns a deep shade of auburn thinking of all the money she is asking for. She says that’s why she bought her own gym with the divorce settlement money and it’s important for her to succeed on her own. They own all the other gyms together because Mr. New Jersey turned his passion into a career, but this one is all on her.

RHONJ5_10This family is all about fitness

I like the story line about Delores trying to make it on her own. I believe a second act in life is important for women with grown children!
