Actor Dennis Farina who was Detective Joe Fontana on Law and Order from 2004 -2006, died today in Scottsdale Arizona of a blood clot in the lung. He was 69. Dennis Farina who was a former Chicago police officer, who mainly played cops and crooks in his acting career, because he was really good at that. He appeared in such movies as Midnight Run, Saving Private Ryan, Get Shorty, and Snatch. He was in everything on TV from Miami Vice and Crime Story back in the 80′s up to the recent HBO series Luck. Mr. Farnia is survived by four adult children from his first marriage, six grandchildren, and the love of his life for 35 years, Marianne Cahill.
