Apologies Trashies! Last week’s recap is gone into the ether and I just don’t have it in me to re-do it. I would like to thank the wonderful technicians at the Apple Store who were able to give me back the majority of my files and applications though. So, we are just going to start with Episode 2 and maybe, when the season winds down, I will be able to bring myself to try to recreate the greatness of my first episode recap. For now though, the pain is still too new for me to make an attempt. It’s Sugar Bear’s birthday and the women decide to plan something for him. They want to throw him a small surprise party. Alana says they should have a “Duksey Hazzard” theme since The Dukes of Hazzard is one of his favorite shows. June elaborates and says that Daisy was his favorite on the show and that he just about shit his pants when he met her in real life. I’ll say this about the Family, they do not mince words. Mumble words? Yes. Mispronounce words? All the time. But, mince words? Nope, not at all. Alana decides that they should go go-kart riding and have a pinata for Sugar Bear’s birthday. There is a cut away after the go-kart discussion where Alana says that go-karts rhymes with go-farts. And then, she looks away and thinks of the bonus she got for saying that on camera at the producer’s prodding. Seriously, she can’t even pretend that this is something she would have come up with on her own and she is making this pained noise like she can’t believe she actually said that lame ass line on camera. She keeps trying to laugh, but her horror is pretty apparent. With that, she declares that she has found her calling as a party planner and the decision is made. For now. I would say something about this at least being a more realistic goal than becoming a Pageant winner, but considering the laziness that runs deep in the veins of these girls, I’m just not going to comment. Who are we kidding? Of course I’m going to comment! Alana just might make it as a party planner simply because she is good at bossing people around.
