Hi Trashies! Episode 4, and things are hotting up. Piper is dealing with things better, in a way. In some ways, not so much. No Larry this episode either, which is possibly a comment in itself. When we left Piper she was dealing with Crazy eyes revenge. Which was pissing on her cell floor. Which was no where near as bad as I was dreading. If you’re a man, this happens every time you’re a bit lazy in the toilet. However Piper has to clean it up, and the redoubtable Miss Claudette is not happy. So its maxi pads to the rescue, but no detergent or soap. Ok that’s pretty icky. Miss Claudette is not impressed with Piper’s cleaning skills, or her complaints that she can’t wash the pee off until morning. Well I’m crabby if I get woken up in the middle of the night too. We switch to seeing Miss Claudette as a young girl being initiated into what seems to be an illegal immigrant cleaning service, to pay off her parents debt. Presumably of sending her to America. Baptiste, the boy bringing her in is kind to her. It sounds tough. Back in the present Miss Claudette is being asked to make a cake for an inmates leaving party by Tricia. She doesn’t really talk Claudette’s language and gets rebuffed. Tricia’s sales technique needs a little work.Piper gets sent off to Electric shop for a job assignment. Luschek, the CO who runs it, seems easygoing. There’s a system for checking in tools that he explains, as they could be used as weapons. Piper comes on all ‘I should be teaching, not doing this’ and gets put in her place. He says ‘Repeat after me, don’t electrocute yourself’ and ‘Now you know the first thing’. Bit of an ass it seems.Janae complains to Luschek that she doesn’t want to work and gets to check tools in and out instead. We also find out that if you lose a tool, you go to solitary. This is going to bite someone on the ass later this ep. Meanwhile, Mercy is preparing to leave Prison. She used to be one of Boo’s wives, but angers Boo by disassociating herself with her.
