Hey, Trashtalkers! I’m sorry I couldn’t live tweet last night. I would so much rather have been trashtweeting, but I had to wait on assholes with way too much money instead. Speaking of, though, let’s finally put this season of OC to bed! This reunion was looooong, but it was gooooood! Poor Briana, she’s so angry. Unfortunately, we have to wade through 15 minutes of Heather’s money and Tamra’s “marriage” before we get to the good stuff. But don’t worry, I’ll make it short and sweet. SO, in Heather’s corner, they’ve sold their house and are hoping to break ground on the new one in December. Yes, the new house is bigger, no, I do not give a fuck. Not a single fuck. No fucks are given. As for her and Terry’s relationship, their marriage has its ups and downs, but she was happy to have a “real” look at their life together on the show, as opposed to…. Yeah, Alexis and Jim farting around in their garden and jumping on giant trampolines didn’t exactly ring true to the other ladies. Alexis says that Jim got a nasty edit the previous three seasons, so she’s happy his lighter side’s gotten a chance to shine. I agree, actually. I enjoyed the shit out of Jim this season. Mostly because of that shot of him investigating the fight at Vicki’s while holding an entire tray of doughnuts. But back to Heather and Terry, when it came to their “strife,” if you thought it was pointless and lame and reactionary before, just wait until you hear the whole thing really started with the Onion Ring Incident. Heather is so micromanagey and controlling and tightassed that her week’s long fight with Terry was not about the totally legitimate beef that he wasn’t supportive of her working, it was because he kept asking for onion rings at the party. Oh, pardon me, Heather’s party. You’ll remember she was quick to point out that that party was HER party and not THEIR party. I can’t believe how unabashedly controlling she is. I’m amazed she has no idea how she’s coming off. This is the stick Heather has firmly wedged up her ass. It also comes in handy when she needs to remind Terry just who wears the pants in this family.A viewer writes in that she should stop emasculating her husband on national television considering he pays for her lifestyle, but Heather’s heard that one before and she’s got a response all locked, loaded and ready to go. See, their marriage is way more equal than any of us think it is. Before they were married, she had a very successful career (well, that’s debatable) and she bought the lot upon which their current house stands. She claims that by taking care of the children (with nannies) and running the household (with staff), she provides him with just as much of a lifestyle as he provides her. I mean, I’m glad she can tell herself that, […]
