We have a two-episode premier and I have a lot to write… so off to the races. (And I totally slacked on the screenshots… but hey… sometimes things happen and my funny gets lost in the whirlwind. Next week I won’t be so weak on pics.) Episode 1, Hope for the Best. Briana has been left high and dry by Devoin because she decided not to put his name on the birth certificate when Nova was born. I’d bet that he wouldn’t have been around if she had. Briana’s mom and sister, Brittany all help out with Nova. Nova will grow up to hate men almost as much as Hillary Clinton does. Brittany tries to be all funny and sassy, hoping MTV with do a show about her abortion soon. Katie and Joey are living together with their daughter. Katie works at a kid’s clothing store, while Joey works in the coal mines at night. Katie is fairly soft-spoken and very needy. She tries to have a deep conversation with Joey after he’s worked all night and he wants nothing to do with it. Katie still misses her best friend and the fact that she made it off to college without her. Mackenzie has a lot of help and love from her parents. They named their son, Gannon, which I’m still trying to figure out. Mack is a cheerleader and a junior in high school. She also has Type I Diabetes. Josh and Mack are engaged, but they haven’t been getting along. Mack clearly wants to talk talk talk about all her feelings and marriage, but Josh has a huge I-Don’t-Care-Attitude. About everything. Like EVERYTHING. Mack tries to make a special anniversary date with Josh, but he has no interest. At all. He just wants to go shopping for a new hoodie. Alex is living with her mom while she raises the unfortunate-looking, chinless Annabella on her own. Her mom may be a little rough around the edges, but on these two shows, she was the smartest grandma in Teen Mom history. Matt is in rehab to address his drug addiction. He’ll be getting out soon and I’m sure nothing will go wrong. Alex is trying to get her GED online and has 3 jobs. (fast food joint, a boutique, and teaching dance). Anyone else think it looked like the same boutique that employed Kaitlyn? Alex complains to her friend that Matt didn’t respond to her letter if he wanted to go steady with her. Takes smart. Push a drug addict into a relationship and parenthood before he even gets out. That way he can relapse while still in rehab. Saves a lot of time. Briana is on WIC; a government assistance program (Women, Infant, Children). She doesn’t like being on it, but clearly these ladies all got MTV’s agenda items and they are following the script to a tee. Clearly this scene was where they were supposed to promote WIC and government funding. Mack is still upset about Josh’s […]
