Hello there, Trashsters! PopePhilly here covering this week’s ANTM episode. I’ll try to be as awesomely hilarious as Smango always is. Lord knows I love making fun of this show in the privacy of my own living room, so I’m thrilled to actually do it in public! Plus Tyra just makes it so easy! So, let’s begin. Our model hopefuls are back at the house after the elimination admiring Cory’s video. We only get a small moment of celebration before we have Jiana’s talking head crying at us about how she lost it when she was in the bottom two. Oh, sweetie. Don’t you ever watch this show? The losers always do better than the winners. The quicker you get kicked out, the quicker you can be taken seriously as a model… …OK, I can’t keep a straight face and write that. There’s just no way any of these people will be taken seriously in the fashion world. It’s best to hide your face after the world sees how delusional you are. Cory decided to invite Jiana into the fantasy suite out of sympathy for being in the bottom two. Then Phil walks in because he may be surgically attached to Jiana at this point. She tells us that she knows he wants her to be his “replacement girlfriend,” but she’s not here to get distracted. Then maybe she should stop flirting with him constantly. Hell, it’s almost foreplay at this point. Cory is annoyed by Phil because “he has attention deficit disorder – ADHD.” Um, Cory, you make want to think about that for a moment. I know it’s touch to remember letters, but use the correct acronym. You literally just said “attention deficit disorder” and then gave us the acronym for “Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.” Huh. Written out it seems petty and stupid. Maybe it was funnier in my head. It definitely wasn’t as funny as Phil’s unfortunate head wear/pants combination. Meanwhile, Chris and Nina are having a little friendship meeting. Nina tells us that Chris means so much to her because he’s always been there by her side. Isn’t this only the seventh episode? You can hardly say that he’s always been there if you’ve known him for only a few weeks. I’ve just been through so much in the past month. This friendship just strikes me as very odd. Chris continues the love fest by saying that he completely understands Nina and has so much love for her. Look, I know that some friendships form quickly. However, I don’t think you can “completely understand” someone after a month of being on a TV show together. Maybe I’m just a cynic. Then Chris makes me down my glass of wine because he says that next time he and Nina are a team, they need to “have it down packed.” *Facepalm.* You know how Tyra used to go on and on about models having to be good speakers? I guess she’s changed her mind. Back in the living […]
