And we were given a preview promising a solid Elena meltdown, so we’ve all taken bets on how long until the tears start flowing. Buckle up folks, it’s time for episode 5 (seriously? We’re only on episode 5? I feel like I’ve been recapping this show for a year…) We start this episode off on the runway with Alyssa trying to pump up the designers. For the record she’s wearing what appears to be a satin nightgown with giant hoop earrings. Well that’s… something. As always, Alyssa is so uncomfortable it makes me uncomfortable for herMoments into Alyssa talking Elena is already making this face: Emotions malfunction, time to rebootI’m glad to see Alyssa stops her scripted banter and calls Elena out with an impromptu ”why is your eye twitching!?” - but wait, that was editing trickery, Alyssa is actually calling out Christopher. Ugh. And indeed he is dramatically pulling faces all over the place. He’s stressed from all the pressure. Dude you just won a challenge, shut up. Is this another terrible Humphrey Bogart impression or a stroke? Jeffrey is tired. He says being in the bottom is chipping away at his confidence. You can borrow some confidence from your model dude, maybe if you show your ass on the runway you’ll get your groove back. Just suggesting, not in any way requesting to see that… Today’s challenge will be a tie-in with a special Lifetime is filming – oooooh PLEASE be “Mother May I Sleep With Danger 2”. I will personally pay to see that movie made. A screen comes on and we see these ladies- It’s Lifetime so… Blink twice if you need us to send helpOh hey are you here to sell us Girl Scout cookies? It’s that girl from Modern Family (who is wearing REALLY unfortunate brown lipstick) and some other girl with a British accent. They’re here to tell us about Bonnie and Clyde the movie that will be simulcast on A&E, History and Lifetime. Well that seems a little desperate, but sure, cool, whatever. Bonnie and Clyde were notorious outlaws, the designers inspiration is the glamour and romance of the 1930’s as well as Bonnie and Clyde’s adventurous spirits. Please note that the girl with a British accent is Holliday Grainger and IMDB says despite being British and having an extensive resume she has never appeared in an episode of Doctor Who OR Game of Thrones so she’s pretty much dead to me. I’m slightly amused that they couldn’t get Emile Hirsch who plays Clyde to agree to promo this so we’re stuck with awkward Sarah Hyland. Oh dear. I wonder who the guest judge will be… Moving on!
