Greetings, Trashies! We’re finally done auditioning for real. It’s time for the viewers to actually start having their say in this mess. That’s right, it’s our first quarterfinal round! Nick tells me that this is the most talented group of contestants this show has ever had. He also calls the judges “genius.” Huh. I don’t think “talent” and “genius” mean what you think they mean, Nick.I guess we should get right into the show. Anna Christine is up first. I’m glad they got her a real piano. That makes me happy. However, I’m not digging her performance as much as I did in the first audition. Maybe it’s the song choice. Her voice is still pretty good. In her audition, she had this quiet confidence about her. I feel like she lost it this time around. She just looks nervous. When her performance is done, Anna Christine admits that she got off time. How the hell did she get off time accompanying herself? Wait, there was a track playing behind her? I didn’t hear that at all. I wish the judges would stop using the phrase “for an 11-year-old girl.” Judge her based on her talent regardless of age. I agree with Howard when he tells Anna Christine that she shouldn’t tell everyone she made a mistake – not everyone noticed. Based on who she is competing against tonight, she should still have a shot at getting through to the semifinals. tellAvision is up next and their name pisses me off because I want to be able to start a sentence with a capital letter. Nick further proves that he doesn’t know what words mean when he calls this group, “Literally the most amazing thing you’ll see on TV.” That was…OK, I guess. I wasn’t too impressed by them the first time around. It’s different, I’ll give them that. Oh, we’re going to watch their intro package after the dance because the show had technical problems. Howard thinks that the dance needs to be stronger. The technical stuff is cool, but the dance isn’t the strong suit. Heidi agrees with Howard. She doesn’t feel like it’s something she’d want to see again and again. Howie and Mel disagree, but are dicks about it. I wish they’d stop arguing with one another and just respect that some acts aren’t going to appeal to everyone. Next up, it’s the American Hitmen. Why are we going through all these intro packages again? Didn’t we get this at their audition? Pages: 1 2345
