Hear that, Trashmii? It seems like we are finally hearing wedding bells! OR PERHAPS IT IS JUST THE AFTERMATH OF ANOTHER POSSUM SKETTI DINNER Before we get to the fun, I want to ‘splain to our newcomer, @Mimo, all of the Freddi luv ‘ round these parts (and to you lurker doubters out there, too). I think if you did not watch MDLNY last season, I can see how you might be a bit perplexed. Last season, the show focused more on the realtors as just that – people selling expensive real estate. You got to see them interact more with clients, you got to see there interactions with other agents and learn what went on in their minds as they negotiated sales. Fredrik proved to be as excellent salesman and a master at reading people’s facial expressions, etc., to gauge whether he could push or more or just accept the deal. We also saw him in Sweden around his parents and his co-workers at his Swedish company. Fredrik was warm and quirky and cared a lot about his job. He clearly loved selling real estate and made us love it, too. Ryan, on the other hand, was even more of a dick than he is now. He constantly put down women, minorities, and gays. Now he just puts down minorities and gays. As someone put it earlier this season, Ryan was/is such a douche that he was (and is) oblivious to his own douchhattery, thinking it is “cute.” And, well, you missed our Little Lord Fauntleroy, Michael Lorber. Luis makes me miss him. That says a lot. Now, however, Bravo has decided that the realtors vying against each other is more entertaining. They are setting up situations and, I am certain, telling at least one of them what to do when they are together. Fredrik has started to become a more magnified version of himself so all his quirks are coming off as forced and too much. I blame Miss Andy and would like to tell him he is ruining all that was good about the show. Much like how he turned MDLLA into a Josh A. v. Madison bitch fest and ruined everything about that show except Josh F and his grandmother. It wasn’t broke and Miss Andy should have kept her considerable nose out of it. I hope a bird attacks her again. Just sayin’. POETIC JUSTICE Now, on to our show…. We begin at Fredrik’s apartment where he and Derek are packing for their wedding in the Florida Keys. Derek does not want it to look like a gay wedding – whatever that means. Fredrik has to leave to go to a meeting about the Bowery property. He has sold over half of the units. Derek complains that they have not even written their vows yet. Derek gets frustrated when Fredrik takes a call during their discussion. Someone may need to remind Derek that this is what keeps him in oil paints for his ugly pictures. [...]
