Well, we’ve finally made it. This week was the season finale of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, and it did not disappoint. Sure, there were the usual levels of full blown delusion, along with some drink throwing and questionable music, but isn’t that what this show is all about?
This week we’re blessed to begin with Moniece and Rich, also known as the couple of the year. Moniece is proud of Rich for jumping through all the hoops she set up for him, including meeting up with her baby’s father, who last week she admitted she is still in love with. Since Fizz turned Moniece down, she decided that now she can commit to Rich, since she has no other options, and it’s time for them to go ring shopping.
Then we meet up with Miles. So much pause is given to me by this man. He’s meeting up at a pool hall (masc) with some of his friends that he’s apparently known for 20 years. My guess is a producer found them at Ralph’s, and offered them each $20 to pretend to know what Miles is talking about.
So, without actually saying that he’s gay, Miles somehow manages to come out to his friends, who as far as I can tell, already knew, just like everyone else involved with this storyline. Are we actually supposed to believe that this man came out to his friends of over 20 years, and nary a jaw dropped in shock. Okay, Mona.
Next we meet up with Ray J and Princess Love, and Ray is showing Princess the new house he leased for them with his Kim K sex tape residuals.
Ray said he “bought” the house for him and Princess to live in together, and become a couple again. Princess pulled, what I consider to be a classic gold digger move, and said she would only move into the house with Ray if the house was put in her name. Something tells me she won’t be paying the bills on this house, so she is just getting her settlement ready from jump.
Ray J promises to change his ways, again, and Princess takes him back, again.
Then we head over to a lingerie fashion show, but the location for this next scene really has no relevance. The important thing, is that Rich was there, and so was Nikki. Since Nikki had just been told by Fizz that Moniece was still in love with him, she thought it was only right that she let Rich know. So messy, and so good.
First of all, Rich didn’t even know that Moniece was the front girl in Fizz’s new video. Then Nikki dropped the bomb that Moniece proposed her love for Fizz. Rich was not at all amused.
Then we get a minute or two of Omarion on tour, because the producers wanted to remind us that he and Apryl are being paid to be on this show that they’ve been absent all season. Does anyone care about them? Let’s just go ahead and wrap up their storyline. So, while they’re riding on the tour bus, Apryl decided it was a good time to start complaining about her lack of a career, and Omarion books her a studio session, of which we saw nothing.
Peace & love, y’all.
Okay, Miles’ mom’s house. Let’s talk about it. Miles is attending some type of family gathering at his mom’s house, and he decided this would be a great time to introduce Milan to his mother and his 2 sisters. Before Milan shows up, everything’s cool, and Miles’ mama doesn’t seem to have any problem with his sexuality, probably because she’s known for quite some time now. As soon as Milan is brought up, the energy in the room instantly shifted.
Milan shows up, in what I didn’t think was the best outfit to wear when you’re trying to make a good impression on your boyfriends potentially homophobic family.
Everything seems to be going alright at first, until the topic of Milan’s modeling (Instagram) pictures comes up. (Surprised no one brought up his sex tape, but I’ll leave that be.)
Let’s just stop here for a second. Before these two ladies want to sit up here and judge Milan for posing naked, maybe they want to take into consideration that those naked pictures have been paying Miles’ bills. *sips tea*
Then Miles’ mama starts talking to Milan about having morals and values. This is the same woman that has multiple children by multiple baby’s fathers. *sips more tea*
After some more back and forth, they have a group hug. *yawn*
Then we head over to the studio, where Moniece is pretending to sing, and Rich is pretending he cares about her. Once she leaves the booth, Rich brings up what Nikki said to him, and shows Moniece a red box, which looked empty to me. I guess it was supposed to be an engagement ring? Well, he threw it at her and walked out, so I guess they won’t be getting engaged anytime soon.
Then we’re with Milan in the studio, and he tells the story about how he came out to his younger brother when he was 13 or 14, and how his brother’s death 4 years later made him always want to live in his truth. I guess this is VH1’s way of wrapping up the whole out in hip hop thing they’ve been trying to make happen?
Now we’re at Fizz’s video launch, and I wasn’t aware until this week that he was releasing a single, along with a line of lotion. Did anyone else miss that? Anyways, the video’s playing, and Moniece shows up dressed in her best club/librarian outfit.
After the video ends, Moniece does not waste anytime walking over to confront Nikki about blowing her spot up with Rich. First of all sweetheart, you can’t blame Nikki for something you said. You’re on a TELEVISION SHOW. There are cameras following you around honey, and they were rolling when you told your baby’s father that you were still in love with him. Whether Nikki told Rich or not, he was going to find out. So Moniece decides to let her inner animal out, and starts throwing drinks, and jumping over booth, and basically just acting a damn fool.
Then we get a little bit of a wrap up with some of the characters VH1 felt we cared about most.
Teairra is doing a photoshoot for………yeah, still unclear.
Fizz is ruining his son’s life by introducing him to hover boards.
Moniece is singing on a cruise ship?
Miles and Milan are finally happy/lol no they aren’t in real life.
And last but certainly not least, Ray J proposed to Princess Love.
See you next week for Part 1 of the Reunion!
