Hark, Royal Trashies! This week’s episode was really worth the trudge through the last one, wasn’t it? The Queen gets an unexpected blast from the past, Leni is yet again betrayed, and Cyrus has fallen in love! Let’s just jump right in, shall we?
As we open, Eleanor and ‘Mandy’ barge into the bedroom with more shopping bags, singing at the top of their lungs. After messing with James, they end up in the Crown Jewel Room, where ‘Mandy’ convinces Leni to wear her grandmother’s earrings and the Koh-i-Noor to the party — it’s her birthday, after all! Giggling, they peel their shirts off and throw them over the security cameras.
“See ya later, Qua!”
Queen Helena is lounging around pensively when Rachel comes in to congratulate her on the Succession Bill. How nice that it was quietly pushed through while The People’s attention was diverted by Royal Scandals! Now Queen Helena is just a heartbeat away from the Throne. Helena can’t pay attention. She just sits there brooding, so Rachel asks, “What’s the deal, Your Majesty?”
Helena says, “Clear my schedule. And give me your car keys.” Rachel is irritated, as she has an appointment to spank a very important Member of Parliament after work. Nevertheless, she dutifully hands over her car keys.
“I promise I’ll put the seat back this time”
In an attempt to retrieve her keys, Rachel asks, “What about the twins’ birthday party?”
“I deserve my own day,” says the Queen.
Elsewhere in the palace, Ashok, that drug dealer guy, and his flaming brother sneak up to shoot a sleeping Liam with paintballs.
“Are we annoying enough yet?”
Back in her bedroom, Len wakes up Mandy to show her the Koh-i-Noor. She says it will be set in a necklace for the party.
“Can you describe this necklace in detail? Include dimensions, please”
Le gets a text from Rachel that the Queen won’t be coming. Mandy’s all, “Gee, I’m sorry,” but Le says it doesn’t matter. These things always end up being all about their mother and her stuffy old dignitary friends. Mandy asks, “Was it ever fun?” Le says her mum was away for their ninth birthday, and King Simon arranged a fabulous bash where the twins got to jump out of a cake. “And there were dodgems, too — (Brit for bumper cars)!”
All of a sudden, ‘Mandy’ looks at her watch and says, “Whoops, gotta go!” Le asks, where can she have to go? She’s a model who blew off her latest gig. ‘Mandy’ says it has to do with Le’s birthday. “Trust me,” she says.
