Hello trash people!! Let me just say I am SO EXCITED I get to recap RuPaul and I hope you are all just as excited to read them!! Since this is the MiniCap I won’t go into describing every queen, but trust me I will in the full recap. I’ll just talk about the favs and the least favs.
FAVORITES: Cynthia because she gave BendeLa vibes, Acid Betty, Robbie Turner because she STAYED talking shit, Thorgy Thor, BOB THE DRAG QUEEN, Derek Berry.
I AM BORED WITH: Naomi, Dax, Laila, Chi Chi, anyone else I forgot.
I can already tell this season is going to be so GOOD we just need to weed some of these queens out.
There is already drama forming between Acid Betty and Thorgy Thor. THIS IS EPISODE ONE. And I like them both! I feel like I’ll end up being team Thorgy, but overall I’m Team Bob.
Show me those boogers, Queen.
RuPaul looks like he is sponsoring Arby’s wearing one of the most nonsense workroom outfits I’ve seen. And I usually love workroom Ru! He starts out episode 100 by intimidating the shit out of all this new meat. Let’s have you all take a picture posing with all previous winners!! Ru, you devil. You’re saving time and money on a photoshoot later, AND making a challenge out of it. I love you.
This is one of those challenges where to win you just have to be ballsy and confident. Insecure queens never make it too far! This is season 8!! But I’m not about throwing shade at the other winners. Show Sharon Needles some damn respect. Derek was my favorite to watch own this challenge. Get that chair bitch! Show me your Scheana Shay- I mean Britney face!!
Somehow they determined Robbie Turner a winner from some queen shooting a ping pong ball out of herself, putting her in charge of picking out the fashion for the big challenge. She has been throwing shade NON stop this whole episode and her outfit was dreamy. Like her so far, but that could change. She was pretty nice and good picking out the styles for everyone. But forgot to pick one for herself. GIRL. She ended up picking the dog look which isn’t even THAT bad. You can make it cute. You aren’t having to carry around an ugly ass boat and relating it to your struggles as a gay man.
By far the BEST part of this show is watching them put on/take off makeup while having confrontation. It makes it easier to lighten up for us as viewers! Sure, sometimes they are talking about how they were bullied and it’s sad… as they are removing all depth from their face and looking like Cassandra from Doctor Who.

On the runway nobody really blew me away? That first walk is important!! Also, is it just me, or does Acid Betty look like almost all of the characters from American Horror Story Freakshow? Specifically the one with tattoos? Also Specifically Twisty the Clown?
About halfway through the episode, my pal Boston texted and asked who I thought was going home and I said the bottom two should probably be Laila and the Lopez girl. I’m throwing this is just to brag about how I called it. They were both boring and missed the mark on their challenge. How is Greek Goddess “thrift store queen”? Just because you sewed it yourself? Also if you can’t sew and you are onRuPaul’s Drag Race, you are BRAVE.
Kim Chi won the challenge, eh, I was more fascinated by her saying her parents have NO IDEA she does drag. GIRL!! They are going to find out!! That blew me away more than anything. As I predicted, Laila and Naysysyash Lopez had to Lip Sync for they lives and Laila impressed me, While Naya Lopez was trying to rework the Macarena? /she was doing that baby shark dance I always hate in my music theatre days. This season has me excited already!! My favorite is Bob the Drag Queen ALLL THE WAY!
