Well Trashies, we did it! We made it to the end of this season of Hollywood Medium, and just in time – a few more episodes and I might’ve started to believe that Tyler Henry really doesn’t search out his clients’ histories on the internet.
Maybe.
Buckle up, because the finale was jam packed with tears, Tori Spelling, and lots of ads for The Girl on the Train. First stop on the Tyler Henry express is (are?) The Bella Twins from WWE, Total Divas, and I guess now they’re getting a spin-off show called Total Bellas.
Coming soon – the Bella Channel. All Bella all the time.
The Bellas are total psychic believers, and heard about Tyler from a wrestling friend of theirs named Natalia; who I think is somehow related to Bret “The Hitman” Hart if my minimal WWE knowledge serves me. Tyler says it’s interesting doing readings for twins because they sometimes finish each others’ sentences.
Insightful!
The first spirit is the Bellas’ grandfather, who Tyler says didn’t want to be kept alive artificially, and shockingly their grandfather did indeed have this very unique desire! He is watching over them from heaven and surrounding them with grandad love, and also singing a Frank Sinatra song at them sometimes. Grandad is hanging out with one of the Bellas’ future children up there as well, somehow, so….cool.
One final spirit comes through – someone more similar in age to the twins; or, he would have been the same age but is – you know – deceased. He’s one of the Bellas’ ex-boyfriends, named Bear, and he died in a car accident. I think maybe this is the Bella Twin who is married to John Cena? Oh wait no – as if reading MY mind now, Tyler says that Bear approves of the twin’s current husband whose name is Bryan, and is giving him a “thumbs up” from beyond the grave.
Bear keeps on talking – through Tyler – about there being two Bear mementos, and so Bella Twin on the left is like “Can I pull my pants down?” and shows us these bear claw tattoos she got as a memorial of Bear.
Neat.
Okay, enough of this – bring on Dr. Paul Nassif, PLEASE.
Hellooooooo
You may recognize Paul from being constantly belittled by his (now) ex-wife on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, or from being constantly belittled by Dr. Terry Dubrow on Botched. Tyler shockingly does recognize Dr. Nassif from Botched, which he started watching after doing a reading for the Dubrows last year.
There are lots of relatives of Dr. Nassif in the great beyond, and immediately there are three people named George coming through. Paul’s sister watches the reading from the kitchen or somewhere, nodding a lot and talking to the camera person.
Heaven is for real
After communicating with the Georges – all of whom are doing well and happy in the afterlife – Tyler starts talking to Paul’s mother, Ann, which makes Paul and his sister cry. Ann wants Paul to know that she has come to terms with her passing and is now watching over him and loves him very much – which is sweet. I do honestly get chills when Dr. Nassif shows the camera the stuffed dog that Tyler is using for the reading and tells us that his mother had it in the hospital with her and it has her blood on it.
“This is intense”. Agreed.
Well, this reading has been a real bummer. On to Metta World Peace.
Will the spirits tell Tyler how Metta got his name?
Metta hands Tyler a photo, and Tyler picks up the energy of a woman who was like a mother to multiple people – Metta thinks that this is his grandmother. I wonder If she was feisty? Metta’s grandmother is chilling with his Metta’s cousin who drowned in a river – I think this is the first drowning victim Tyler has communicated with (at least this season).
The final spirit is a friend of Metta’s who liked to listen to people’s problems, but not talk about his own. Also he had something to do with music, and didn’t want his passing to negatively affect people. Good stuff!
Adorable.
Alright, now let’s get to the MAIN main event – Tori Spelling.
I wonder if she believes in psychics?
Tori says that she doesn’t get star struck meeting actors, just reality stars, which makes me love her a little bit. She gives Tyler her father’s typewriter, which Tyler very coyly doesn’t pick up any energy from. This actually sells his validity to Tori, since she says most psychics immediately claim to be communicating with her father. Well played, Tyler. Tyler also says that it’s actually a good thing when a spirit doesn’t want to come through, because it means they’re at peace – unlike LITERALLY EVERY SPIRIT that he does talk to, whose initial message is invariably “I’m at peace”.
