Real World Seattle: Bad Blood: Pacific Northwest Horror Story

Ooooh, things are about to get real! Pretty much all that happened on the double part premier last week was that we met all the house guests, and there was one major fight between DJ Maserobbiee and Mike. Everyone was super casually mentioning people back home they had “bad blood” with – like Katrina’s sister Anna, who we saw in a video chat with a producer.

This episode begins with all the houseguests going down to the beach to chill and eat s’mores.

img_0021Life is great!

Tyara makes everyone write goals and then throw them in the bonfire; it seems like that would just destroy your dreams, but whatever. After the fire has devoured their plans for the future, they head back to a rooftop restaurant to look at pictures of the bonfire they were just at, and talk about how wonderful everyone is, and what great friends they’ve become. Boring.

The next day, Tyara and Theo decide to prank the rest of the guests by making up a fake twist, since the real twist hasn’t been revealed yet. Tyara is still my favorite person on this show.

img_0022Right?!

Tyara and Theo set out two suitcases with the name “John” taped on them to make everyone think there’s a new roommate moving in, then they dip the hell out to go play basketball. DJ Jazzy Rob, Anika, and Jordan come home and find the luggage and start freaking out, so they go outside and grab Theo and Tya to make them look at it.

Everyone is freaking out, trying to figure out what’s happening except for Katrina, who just hopes the new roommate is hot. Theo and Tya deny being the culprits for most of the day until they eventually come clean to DJ Robbie Rob in the confessional. Meanwhile, the Bad Bloods have convened on top of some ancient ruins in Portland.

img_0025This is where cold brew coffee was invented.

A producer comes up to the ruins and says he’s going to pull them aside one by one and then they’ll get their “adventure” started. If I was on a show I’d never heard of, with an undisclosed name no less, and was led off separately from everyone my first thought would be “I’m about to be murdered”, but these guys are more trusting than me. Let’s met them!

First up is Jenn. She doesn’t like surprises.

img_0029Whoops.

The producer tells her that none of them are there for the show they thought they were there for – it’s really a MURDER SHOW! Nope. Sorry, I was still projecting – I’ve been watching a horror movie every day for the past month, so…anyway. He tells her the actual premise – that she and the other Bloods are the twist and have to settle their unfinished business with the OG houseguests. Jenn is Robbie’s Bad Blood/ex-girlfriend, and now she has the super fun job of telling everyone the actual twist and that they ARE the twist and that everything is about to start royally sucking for them/getting interesting for us.

Next the producer pulls Anna, who we’ve already met, aside.

img_0030At least she has cool nails.

She doesn’t want to do the show and fight with her sister on TV, but she came all this way so she’s not quitting now, damn it!

Mike’s Bad Blood, Peter, looks to be as much of a douche as Mike.

img_0032My hobbies include drinking and yelling.

His opening line is “Well, I guess I’m going to have to cause a bunch of havoc in this house, then!”. He says that Mike owes him like $2,000 and is an all around scumbag.

Kassius is Theo’s Bad Blood (remember? His pot smoking cousin who got him kicked out of college/made him lose a football scholarship).

img_0033But that’s just like, your opinion, man.

Kassius’ plan for the house is to be chill and get along with everyone, which as a viewer I strongly object to.

Tyara’s Bad Blood is named Kimberly, and she is coming in HOT – She claims Tyara’s accent is fake since they went to high school together in Georgia.

img_0035No time for roots, Dr. Jones.

As a Georgian, I can assure you our accents mos def don’t sound British, but then again Tyara did say early on that her family moved around a lot, so that could explain it. Or maybe she is just putting it on – I used to fake a New York accent in high school for no reason; kids are weird, man.

We take a break from the intros as everybody hops on the RV that’s taking them to Seattle. Most people are nervous but excited, and thanks to Kimberly everyone is dogging on Tya’s accent without even having heard it – although Anna already heard ABOUT it from her sister. Kim says that the beef between her and Tyara is purely one sided, and something that Tya’s just held on to since high school.
