Hi, Trashies! It’s DWTS‘s annual Halloween show! Are you excited to see what people will go as? Yeah, I’m not either, but let’s get to the snarking anyway!
This week, the highest scoring couple will have immunity and the others will have a dance off to see who is safe. So, first up, Terra and Sasha are dancing to a Beetlejuice themed dance. I hope they’re dancing to “Banana Boat Song.” That’s one of my favorite scenes in any movie. Unfortunately, the cha-cha is rather hard for Terra because she has difficulty straightening her legs. Also, can we recognize how awesome Sasha is as a teacher? Have we ever seen him get frustrated and lose his temper? I adore him.
So, now we have to watch the original.
Seriously, I didn’t even hate the extra dancers because I love that movie so much. The fuck is up with Julianne’s hair? She heaps on the praise, but she wants Terra to just push a little bit more. I have a terrible sinus headache, so Bruno is just pissing me off tonight with his ranting. In there he had some critique about the moves being a bit sharper. Carrie Ann loves Terra’s spark, but she just wants more. She didn’t see what Carrie Ann did.
Scores:
Carrie Ann – 8
Julianne – 8
Bruno – 8

I expected that from Carrie Ann, but not from Julianne or Bruno.
Laurie and Val are our second couple of the night. They’re bummed that they keep slipping backwards in the scores, so Laurie cleared up her entire schedule so she can rehearse all week. Val is crying because he’s so happy to be working with Laurie. I think. I have no idea what’s going on.
Oh, look. Laurie is a good dancer. Is Val still crying? Bruno calls the dance a “Halloween treat.” Carrie Ann is having her first cry of the season. Julianne says something about Val always looking at Laurie with joy and she finally looked back that way. I guess? It’s just a lot of praise because Laurie is probably winning this season.
Scores:
Carrie Ann – 10
Julianne – 10
Bruno – 10

Obviously. Why is Val so emotional tonight? Also, if anyone else gets perfect score, the tie will be broken by cumulative scores.
Marilu is still feeling disappointed after take a bit of a step backwards last week. Derek wants her to just be confident as they go into the Argentine tango this week.
Marilu was nowhere near as sharp as she should be for that dance. It could have been really cool, but it never quite got there. Carrie Ann is glad to see that Marilu came back with confidence, but there were a lot of missteps in the dance. Julianne thinks that Marilu just kept second guessing herself. Bruno just wants her never to doubt herself or her partner.
Scores:
Carrie Ann – 7
Julianne – 8
Bruno – 8

I like seeing Derek at the bottom of the leader board.
Calvin and Lindsay are thrilled to be at the top of the leader board. They’ll be dressing as skeletons this week because they’re dancing to “Doctor Bones” by Cherry Poppin’ Daddies. I love that song. Anyway, Lindsay and Calvin have an adorable big brother/little sister relationship. Speaking of adorable, James’ 2-year-old son is here!
Yeah, I loved it. Julianne is happy to see that the theme didn’t require the content to suffer. Bruno says the same thing, but with more words and more flailing. Carrie Ann is reminded of Emmit Smith – he’s a great dancer, but he’s always having fun.
Scores:
Carrie Ann – 10
Julianne – 10
Bruno – 10

That’s two couples with perfect scores.
Ugh, is it Ryan’s turn to go home yet? They’re just thrilled that someone else is doing worse than they are at this point. Because they’re doing so badly, Cheryl is getting tough this week. Why does Ryan think that every person who’s been bad has had a breakthrough? Seriously, does no one remember Kate Gosslin?
So, this was somehow Meleficent themed, but the song was kind of about werewolves? Anyway, Ryan…tried. There’s no way he’s making it past this week. Bruno calls that a believable performance and I’m pretty sure he’s drunker than usual. Carrie Ann says there was a lot of content, but it was just a bit too much like wrestling rather than ballroom dancing. Julianne says that dance was “squatty,” but the performance was good.

So, I guess Carrie Ann is playing the part of Len Goodman this evening.
So, Jana generally annoys me, but she and Gleb are dancing to the theme from Little Shop of Horrors, so I can’t be too mad. Seriously, I love everything about that stage show/movie/soundtrack. It’s my favorite. Oh, but Gleb has never done a jazz routine before. On this show, “jazz” is just another word for “freestyle.”
