How to Get Away with Murder Recap: I Want Them ALL to Die

This episode of How to Get Away with Murder is called “I Want You to Die,” which pretty much covers everyone in this show. If you remember last week, Nate’s wife is dead, Asher’s dad has pretty much disowned him, and Perky Prosecutor squeals to Bonnie about Trotter Lake which turns out to be a gang-rape situation involving Asher.

And per usual, we begin back at the orphan mansion, where Connor and Michaela are fighting about leaving the house and Connor saying they know better this time. When they leave, we see Wes and Laurel behind a wall, Wes saying they need to stop them. Oh, and he has a gun. Hope he has a permit!

Back to the now, we are 4 days prior to the orphan house massacre, Wes is dressing and we get some gratuitous chest hair footage as he finds a gun in his dresser. Eggs 911 left it there prior to his arrest. That certainly was thoughtful.

Our kids are working on setting up the orphan cousin, Phillip, as a potential suspect for their case. Turns out Phillip, the illegitimate child of their murdered aunt, lives 2 miles away from the mansion. Now they just have to prove he was in town the night of the murders!

1-Not only does he look like a serial killer, he looks inbred...good mix

Not only does he look like a serial killer, he looks inbred…good mix!

Nate is packing up Nia’s things at the hospital (like they wouldn’t have done that already just for the bed space!) and Nice Nurse brings in a scarf Nia knitted for Nate. Trying saying that real fast. Anyway, Nice Nurse said she cleaned up a few loose yarns to make sure the scarf actually looked presentable. While there, Nate is served with papers. Turns out, Perky wants Nia’s blood tested because she suspects foul play. Well, she is in the right show for that!

Nia was cremated, but turns out they took blood samples right after she died for some clinical trial. Rut-rohs all around! Frank asks about the pills and Annalise says she never gave them to Nate. She says if he wants to protect them, to kill Perky Prosecutor. I know she’s joking, I’d be real careful about throwing wishes like that around this group – they might actually come true!

At Nate’s apartment, Eve is back! She wants to know if Nate and Annalise killed Nia together. Nate says he did it alone. Eve says she’ll fix it by convincing the judge that Nia died of stage IV cancer natural causes instead of what really happened.

2-Sure, I'll take your murder case...again

Sure, I’ll take your murder case…AGAIN.

Bonnie lets Asher know she knows about Trotter Lake, and Michaela eavesdrops, so you know this is coming back to haunt Asher. I mean, even more so than the gang rape situation. Ahem. He tells Bonnie it was his party, but he had nothing to do with what happened – he was drunk downstairs and the situation happened upstairs, and he didn’t even know it was going on. Said every frat guy from here to the moon at some point in his life.

Oh, yes, Annalise has another client. Her client is being accused of forcing his ex-wife’s husband to kill himself by stalking him. Don’t ask. The only thing I found interesting about this, was that the client sort of looks like an evil version of Phil from Modern Family. Phil’s my favorite.

3-Down Faux Phil

Down, Phaux Phil, DOWN!

Annalise sees Perky in court, and man is she tighter than ever. She’s pissed about the Nate situation and leans into Perky, saying, “You’re messing with the wrong bitch.” Finally! Perky asks if that is a threat. “I’ll guess you’ll see,” Annalise says. Yes, in about 4 days, when you hit the pavement from several stories up. You’ll be missed, Perky.

Laurel and Frank and trying to have sex in the foyer of Annalise’s office/house (subtle!), and are caught by Annalise. She’s pissed that they haven’t done any work on her new case. Annalise wants Laurel to do some specific work on the case and Laurel is totally confused, mostly because all the blood and oxygen in her body is between her legs and nothing is flowing through her brain. Annalise wants to smack the shit out of her. Both Wes and Asher are voluntold to work on the case and Annalise says now Laurel has two men holding her hand. Unless you count Frank, but he’s putting her hand on something other than a legal case.

4-Seriously the foyer

Seriously, in the foyer?  Where I keep my keys?

Wes, Asher and Laurel are talking to the new client and he says his ex-wife’s husband went to church 3 nights a week…AA meetings! Substance abuse meetings = depression! Maybe he killed himself because of depression and not wanting to be married to his wife any longer. Great theory, let’s run with that for the next few minutes.
