Hello Trashies! I hope you had a good weekend. It was a beautiful day today, so I used the opportunity to take a nice walk/jog to get in touch with Mother Nature. I’m in the midst of packing up my home and splitting my work days between two cities until I finally get to move to my new place on the super-convienient Day After Thanksgiving. So, it’s quite chaotic. But enough about me. On with the show!

It’s the morning after Tribal Council, and Ta Keo is huddled in their shelter in the rain. Savage is still trying to process that he (and Woo) were blindsided. He tells us he thought he knew how to read people, but he’s dealing with a different level of professional liars. Yep, that’s the game, dude. Kass says that the whole point of “second chance” is that bad relationships/betrayals from past seasons are just that: in the past. Spencer nods in agreement. Savage tells them that if they had just given him a heads up about the plan, he would have understood. I like Savage, but he’s just butthurt that his (presumed) role as leader was undermined. Kass says it was nothing personal, and all about “red flags.” Savage is pissy about it, and tells us “fuck them…pieces of shit.” Then he flashes us that dazzling smile.

He begs Kass and her squad to keep him past the merge. He encourages them to use him for whatever they need so long as he stays in the game. Spencer wants Savage’s word that he’s not gonna go after him again. Savage shakes on it. Spencer and Kass are enjoying their newfound Survivor friendship and seem to be in agreement that things are better now than during their Cagayan season.

Over at Bayon, Kimmi and Keith retrieve the treemail, which instructs them to head down to the end of the beach and wait for visitors. They’re all taken aback that it’s time for a merge when there are still 13 people in the game. Tasha is pumped, though, because if it is a merge, then she’s back with Spencer and Kass. Speaking of, Ta Keo’s treemail tells them to grab everything they want for the rest of the game and to follow the map down the beach. Kass tells her crew to “find the crack” in the other tribe to exploit it. Savage tells us he’s praying to the Survivor gods that it’s a merge so he can be back with his Bayon brethren.

After the break, both tribes arrive at the beach. They get their new red buffs and do the usual cheering and hugging. Curlylocks tells us it’s basically Day 1 again, and that everything is about to change. He’s excited about it.

Even his hair is perfect.

Everyone grabs the baskets of food and heads off to the Bayon camp. They toast and feast while they can. The discussion turns to Tribal and how Woo was blindsided. Kass says that Woo was shocked and that Savage, Woo and Kelly2 all voted for Spencer. Savage just looks down and concentrates on chewing. Kimmi asks Kass if she also put Spencer’s name down. KEEP UP, KIMMI! Kass slowly explains that she did not and that she and Spencer worked together to blindside Woo. Joe announces that all the cheese he ate is starting to “weigh him down.” Ha. Gross. TMI, Joe! Savage and Jeremy walk off to talk in private while Fish tells us that there needs to be a 7-person alliance.

Savage gives Jeremy the rundown about how hard and fast Kass struck the night before. He thinks it will still come down to Ta Keo vs. Bayon. They decide to pull in Tasha, Fish, Kelly2, and Kimmi. Savage tells us that even though Kelly2 wasn’t on the original Bayon, he thinks she’s pretty loyal. Has he seen the first season? Savage tells us he wants to get Joe on their side to get a 7-person alliance.

Kass and BK are discussing strategy, and BK observes that Savage and Jeremy are tight. They talk about bringing in CrAbi and Spencer to complete their 7-person alliance with Ciera, Keith, and (she hopes) Joe. BK reminds us of the “final five” alliance she made in the prior Bayon tribe. It was Bayon, wasn’t it? I need a damn flowchart for this shit. BK tells us that the power players are Joe and Spencer, and it’s critical to get them in the alliance.

After the break, we join Orkun, which is apparently the name of the newly-merged tribe. Curlylocks is doing his morning yoga, and we get an extreme closeup of his serenity face.

Savage approaches him to talk strategy. Savage lays it out for him: he has Fish, Kimmi, Kelly2, Tasha, and Jeremy. He asserts he has the original Bayons to take them all the way to day 30. Considering this is only day 18 or so, that’s a long way off. Joe tells us that Savage is playing hard, but he hasn’t forgotten the “final five” alliance he made with Ta Keo 2.0. He tells Savage he’s gonna talk to everyone and then determine his move. Savage can’t do anything but accept that, really.
