I’m sure you all know cryogenic perma-cutie Mario Lopez, thanks to his stints on Extra, Dancing with the Stars, and Saved By The Bell (or Kids Incorporated, depending on your age). Well there’s good news for fans of Mario. This Mexican hunk of man-love is now starring in a new show! The concept of One on One is a sit-down interview with Latino celebrities for Nuvo TV (partially owned by JLo). It sounds like a nice idea, but the commercials don’t look so promising. The first one I saw on Hulu had Mario looking at his guests and simply making faces while they talked. He said nary a word, except “Oh, man!”. There had to be more to the show than that. So I searched for others. On CelebTV Latino I found another promo for the show and sure enough, it’s pretty darn similar. Here’s Mario interviewing Eva Longoria. OK, let’s be fair. If I was sitting on a couch with Eva Longoria, I’d probably be staring at her like that too. Mario Interviewing Pepe Aguilar: “When did you start wearing sunglasses at night and why?” Interviewing Victor Ortiz: “That is a trip. OK. Yeah, yeah, right.” Let’s face it, Trashmii. The show probably will be better than these ridiculous promos, but I’m pretty sure Mario will never be Barbara. Let’s just hope he got some tips!
